What Do You Think About Sen. Pearce Stating Arizona Taxpayers Are Entitled To Know Their Tax Dollars Usage?

Is it really racial profiling if you demand to see who is getting what at your expense? At first I felt that this seemed to be centered on hurting a group of people until I put some thought into it. If I was the one paying for a service and went in and demanded to see a receipt or attendance roster or even a head count for that service and I was told “No you can’t have it but keep giving us your money”, I would want the rules changed as well in order to be fair not just to the service but to the person who pays the bill of the service. Being Latina myself I am the first to fight against racial discrimination, but also being business centered and budget conscience I completely understand the why’s of asking for a census or audit of type. If the school says, “You can attend regardless of citizenship but provide your citizenship status upon entry.” Then I have no problem with it. I wish people would stop saying that “hispanic” and “latino” are a race. They’re not a race. At best, they should be considered an ethnic group.
As taxpayers, we have every right to know how our tax dollars are being spent.
